 | Lenham II Results |
A lively audience watched on as Dropkixx rolled into Lenham's Community Centre for our second outing. The locals watched on as we enthralled them with our non competable action.
Firstly the night kicked off with a battle between heavyweight "Honest" Ernest Sterling and Dropkixx veteran "Tough" Tony. After a hard fought fifteen minute battle Tony was pinned by Sterling in his Dropkixx debut.
Second came a match between "The World's Most Pissed Off Man" Dan Eels and "The Jamaican Sensation" Cell. Despite an onslaught of offence Cell was able to pin Eels' shoulders to the mat after an amazing standing Shooting Star Press. It’s safe to say that veteran Eels was not amused by this loss.
Scheduled to come next was a contest between IWC Heavyweight champion The Grim Reaper and IWC Light-Heavyweight champion Yorghos Christopolous. However due to injury Yorghos was unable to appear and so "The People’s Commissioner" Lucas Jackson announced that "Braap Braap" Nicky B. Black would be his replacement. The match took place under no holds barred rules and saw both men fight on the outside and hit each other with various objects. However the irrepressible dark force was victorious after a vicious Grimson blade right onto Black's thick metal chain.
Following this saw a fabulous contest between local boy Jack Joker and outraged Minister of Parliament Lord Richard Parliament. Joker was victorious on this occasion pinning Parliament with a leg drop from the top rope.
Our main event was next as we saw a returning Barry Ryan take on "Lazer" Lagden with the winner of the match earning themselves a shot at the IWC Light-Heavyweight championship, currently held by an inactive Yorghos Christopolous. A great bout which ended via pinfall in the eighteenth minute with Lagden pinning the returning hero. However it is safe to say that this rivalry between Dropkixx legend Ryan and Lagden is far from over.
There was also the first annual Lucas Jackson all-star fifteen-man rumble where the winner would receive a shot at the IWC Heavyweight championship any time during the next six months. Notable moments included Gary and Stephen Docherty entering first and second respectively and teaming together for the entire match despite "The People’s Commissioner" Lucas Jackson warning them that only one of them could win the championship shot. It went so far and when one Docherty was eliminated they used some questionable tactics which referee Chris Hatch used to eliminate them from the contest, much to Lenham's approval. The bout was later won by "Tough" Tony who eliminated his earlier foe "Honest" Ernest Sterling last to win the bout and the championship match.
We had a great time at Lenham and hope to see you all there again for a third and even bigger show.
